Etter dette dro Tobias av sted og lovpriste Gud for at han hadde gitt ham en vellykket reise. Han velsignet Raguel og Edna, hans kone, og fortsatte ferden til de nærmet seg Ninive.

After these things Tobias went his way, praising God that he had given him a prosperous journey, and blessed Raguel and Edna his wife, and went on his way till they drew near unto Nineve.

Da sa Rafael til Tobias: Du vet, bror, hvordan du forlot din far.

Then Raphael said to Tobias, Thou knowest, brother, how thou didst leave thy father:

La oss skynde oss foran din kone og gjøre huset klart.

Let us haste before thy wife, and prepare the house.

Og ta med deg galleblæren fra fisken. Så dro de av sted, og hunden fulgte etter dem.

And take in thine hand the gall of the fish. So they went their way, and the dog went after them.

Nå satt Anna og speidet etter veien for sin sønn.

Now Anna sat looking about toward the way for her son.

Og da hun fikk øye på ham komme, sa hun til hans far: Se, din sønn kommer, og mannen som var med ham.

And when she espied him coming, she said to his father, Behold, thy son cometh, and the man that went with him.

Da sa Rafael: Jeg vet, Tobias, at din far vil åpne øynene.

Then said Raphael, I know, Tobias, that thy father will open his eyes.

Derfor skal du smøre øynene hans med gallen, og når det svir, skal han gni dem; hvitheten vil falle bort, og han vil se deg.

Therefore anoint thou his eyes with the gall, and being pricked therewith, he shall rub, and the whiteness shall fall away, and he shall see thee.

Da løp Anna frem, kastet seg om halsen på sin sønn, og sa til ham: Siden jeg har sett deg, min sønn, er jeg nå tilfreds med å dø. Og de gråt begge.

Then Anna ran forth, and fell upon the neck of her son, and said unto him, Seeing I have seen thee, my son, from henceforth I am content to die. And they wept both.

Tobit gikk også ut mot døren, men snublet; men hans sønn løp mot ham,

Tobit also went forth toward the door, and stumbled: but his son ran unto him,

og tok tak i sin far, og han strøk gallen på sin fars øyne og sa: Vær ved godt mot, far.

And took hold of his father: and he strake of the gall on his fathers' eyes, saying, Be of good hope, my father.

Og da øynene hans begynte å svi, gned han dem;

And when his eyes began to smart, he rubbed them;

og hvitheten falt bort fra øynenes hjørner. Da han så sin sønn, kastet han seg om halsen på ham.

And the whiteness pilled away from the corners of his eyes: and when he saw his son, he fell upon his neck.

Og han gråt og sa: Velsignet er du, Gud, og velsignet er ditt navn for alltid; og velsignet er alle dine hellige engler.

And he wept, and said, Blessed art thou, O God, and blessed is thy name for ever; and blessed are all thine holy angels:

For du har tuktet, og du har vist barmhjertighet mot meg. For se, jeg ser min sønn Tobias. Og hans sønn gikk inn med glede og fortalte sin far om de store ting som hadde skjedd med ham i Media.

For thou hast scourged, and hast taken pity on me: for, behold, I see my son Tobias. And his son went in rejoicing, and told his father the great things that had happened to him in Media.

Deretter gikk Tobit ut for å møte sin svigerdatter ved porten til Ninive, glede seg og lovprise Gud; og de som så ham gå, undret seg, fordi han hadde fått synet tilbake.

Then Tobit went out to meet his daughter in law at the gate of Nineve, rejoicing and praising God: and they which saw him go marvelled, because he had received his sight.

Men Tobias takket foran dem, fordi Gud hadde vist ham nåde. Og da han kom nær Sara, sin svigerdatter, velsignet han henne og sa: Velkommen, datter: Gud være velsignet, som har ført deg til oss, og velsignet være din far og din mor. Det var glede blant alle hans brødre som var i Ninive.

But Tobias gave thanks before them, because God had mercy on him. And when he came near to Sara his daughter in law, he blessed her, saying, Thou art welcome, daughter: God be blessed, which hath brought thee unto us, and blessed be thy father and thy mother. And there was joy among all his brethren which were at Nineve.

Og Akiacharus og Nasbas, hans brorsønn, kom:

And Achiacharus, and Nasbas his brother's son, came:

Og Tobias sitt bryllup ble feiret i syv dager med stor glede.

And Tobias' wedding was kept seven days with great joy.
