“ንስኻ ፓሹር እና ኣብ ቤትኻ ዝነበሩ ኩሉ ኣብ ምርካብ ትሕሉ እዮም፤ ናብ ባቢሎን ትመጽእ እዩ፣ ብዚ ቦታ ትሞት እዩ እና ትቀብር እዩ፣ ንስኻ እና ሓሶት ትንቢት ዝተነበይካሎም ጓድኻት ኩሉ እንከሎም።”

    2ከዚ ፓሹር ኤርምያስ ነቢይ ወጋዮ፣ ኣብ ከፊታዊ ደጅ ቢንያም ናብ ቤተ እግዚኣብሔር ቀረባ ዝነበረ መሰርተ እግርን ኢድን ኣስረዎ።

    3ማእታ ፓሹር ኤርምያስ ካብ መሰርቱ ኣወጻዮ። ከዚ ኤርምያስ ንሱ እንበለ፣ “እግዚኣብሔር ስምኻ ፓሹር ኣይጠራካን፤ ነገር ግን ማጎር-ሚሳቢብ እዩ ዝጠራካ።”

    4“እዚ እግዚኣብሔር እይ ይህብ፣ እኮ ኣነ ንስኻ ናብ ራስኻ እንኳ ምዕጣር ክገድፍካ እየ፣ ንጓድኻት ኩሉ እንኳ እንተ ኮይና። ጓድኻት ብሰይፍ ጠላፋቶም ክወድቁ እዮም፣ ኣይናኻ ድማ ክትረኣዮ እዩ። ኩሉ ይሁዳ ኣብ ኢድ ንጉሥ ባቢሎን እሃብ እየ፤ ንባቢሎን ክንዕዘኦም እዩ፣ እንዲሁ ብሰይፍ ይትረፍ እዩ።”

    5“ደጊም እየ ንዚ ከተማ ዘሎ ኩሉ ኃይልኡን፣ ዕድል ስራሕኡ ኩሉን፣ ንብረት ዋጋ ዝበለ ኩሉን፣ መዝገብ ግንዛብ ንጉሳት ይሁዳ ኣብ ኢድ ጠላፋቶም እሃብ እየ፤ እነዚ ይብርቱዎ፣ ይወስዱዎ፣ ንባቢሎን ይምልከቱዎ።”
