ወንዙ ብዙ ቧንቧዎችን ያፈስሳል፤ እነርሱም ይወጡ ወደ ቤትህ፣ ወደ መኝታ ቤትህ፣ በመኝታህ ላይ፣ ወደ ባሪያዎችህ ቤቶች፣ በሕዝብህ ላይ፣ ወደ እቶኖችህና ወደ ዳቦ ማረጫዎችህ ይገባሉ።

    9ሙሴም ለፈርኦን አለ፦ መመርጥ ይኸው ለአንተ ነው፤ ለአንተ፣ ለባሪያዎችህና ለሕዝብህ ከአንተና ከቤቶችህ ቧንቧዎቹ እንዲጠፉ በጌታ ዘንድ መቼ እንለምን? በወንዝ ብቻ ይቀሩ።

    10እርሱም፦ ነገ አለ። እርሱም አለ፦ እንደ ቃልህ ይሁን፤ የእግዚአብሔር አምላካችን እንደ እርሱ የለም እንድታውቅ።

    11ቧንቧዎቹም ከአንተና ከቤቶችህ ከባሪያዎችህና ከሕዝብህ ይርቃሉ፤ በወንዝ ብቻ ይቀራሉ።

    12ሙሴና አሮን ከፈርኦን ወጥተው ሄዱ፤ ሙሴም ስለ ፈርኦን ላይ የመጡትን ቧንቧዎች ምክንያት ወደ እግዚአብሔር ጮኸ።

    13እግዚአብሔርም እንደ ሙሴ ቃል አደረገ፤ ቧንቧዎቹም ከቤቶችና ከመንደሮች ከሜዳም ሞቱ።

    14እነርሱንም ሆድ ሆድ ሰብስበው አከማቹአቸው፤ ምድሪቱም አሸበሸበች።
