እግዚአብሔርም አደረገ፤ ከባድ የዝንብ ጭብጥ ወደ ፈርኦን ቤትና ወደ ባሪያዎቹ ቤቶች እና ወደ ግብጽ ምድር ሁሉ ገባ፤ ምድሪቱም በዝንብ ጭብጥ ምክንያት ተበከለች።

    6አሮንም እጁን በግብጽ ውሃ ላይ ዘረጋ፤ ቧንቧዎቹም ወጡ ግብጽ ምድርን ሸፈኑ።

    7ጠንቋዮቹም በጠንቋይነታቸው እንዲሁ አደረጉ፤ ቧንቧዎችንም በግብጽ ምድር ላይ አወጡ።

    8ከዚያ ፈርኦን ሙሴንና አሮንን አስጠራና አለ፦ ቧንቧዎቹ ከእኔና ከሕዝቤ እንዲወገዱ እግዚአብሔርን ለምኑልኝ፤ ሕዝቡንም እለቀቃለሁ ለእግዚአብሔር መሥዋዕት እንዲያቀርቡ።

    9ሙሴም ለፈርኦን አለ፦ መመርጥ ይኸው ለአንተ ነው፤ ለአንተ፣ ለባሪያዎችህና ለሕዝብህ ከአንተና ከቤቶችህ ቧንቧዎቹ እንዲጠፉ በጌታ ዘንድ መቼ እንለምን? በወንዝ ብቻ ይቀሩ።
