    8እነግዲና ወንድን ያላወቁ ሁለት ሴት ልጆቼ አሉኝ፤ እባካችሁ እነርሱን ልአውጣላችሁ፤ በዐይናችሁ መልካም የሚመስል ነገር አድርጉባቸው፤ ነገር ግን በእነዚህ ሰዎች ላይ አንዳች አታድርጉ፤ ስለዚህ በጣሪያዬ ጥላ ስር መጥተዋል።

    9እነርሱ ግን፣ ተመለሱ በሉ እያሉ ጮኹ። እንዲሁም አሉ፣ ይህ ሰው እንግዳ ሆኖ ወደ እኛ መጥቶ አሁን ሊፍርድ ይፈልጋል? አሁን ከእነርሱ ይልቅ ከአንተ ጋር የበለጠ ክፉ እናደርጋለን። ሎጥንም እጅግ ጫኑት እና በርን ለመስበር ቀረቡ።

    10ነገር ግን ያን ሰዎች እጃቸውን ዘርግተው ሎጥን ወደ እነርሱ ወደ ቤቱ ጎትተው አስገቡት፤ በሩንም ዘጉ።

    11የቤቱ በር አጠገብ የነበሩትን ሰዎች፣ ታናናሾቹንም ታላላቆቹንም በዓይነ-ስውርነት መታቸው፤ እስክደክሙ ድረስም በሩን ለማግኘት ይሻገሩ ነበር።

    12እነዚያ ሰዎችም ለሎጥ እንዲህ አሉ፣ እዚህ በተጨማሪ ያለህ ማንም አለ? የልጅህ ባል፣ ወንድ ልጆችህ፣ ሴት ልጆችህ እና በከተማው ያለህ ሁሉ ከዚህ አውጣ።

    13ይህን ስፍራ እንደምንያዝነው ነው፤ የሕዝቡ ጩኸት በእግዚአብሔር ፊት እጅግ ታላቅ ሆኖአልና፤ እግዚአብሔርም እንዲያጠፋው ልኮናል።

    14ሎጥም ወጥቶ ሴት ልጆቹን የወሰዱ የልጆቹን ባሎች ነገራቸው እና፣ ተነሡ፤ ከዚህ ስፍራ ውጡ፤ እግዚአብሔር ይህችን ከተማ ያጠፋታል አላቸው። ግን ለየልጆቹ ባሎች እንደሚሳቅ ተቆጥሮ ታየ።

    15ጠዋት ሲወጣ መላእክቱ ሎጥን ቸኩሉት እና እንዲህ አሉት፣ ተነሣ፤ ሚስትህንና እዚህ ያሉ ሁለቱ ሴት ልጆችህን ውሰድ፤ ከከተማዪቱ ክፋት ጋር እንዳትጠፋ።

    16እርሱ ግን እያዘገየ ሳለ ሰዎቹ እጁን፣ የሚስቱን እጅ፣ የሁለቱ ሴት ልጆቹንም እጅ ይዘው ከከተማዪቱ ውጭ አወጧቸው፤ እግዚአብሔር በእርሱ ላይ ምሕረት አድርጎ ነበርና፤ ከከተማዪቱም ውጭ አቆመው።

    17ወደ ውጭ ካወጡአቸው በኋላ እንዲህ አለ፣ ስለ ሕይወትህ ሽሽ፤ ወደ ኋላ አትመለስ፣ በሜዳው ሁሉ አትቆይ፤ ወደ ተራራ ሽሽ እንዳትጠፋ።

    18ሎጥም እነርሱን እንዲህ አለ፣ እሆይ፣ አይሁን ጌታዬ።

    19እነግዲና ባሪያህ በፊትህ ጸጋ አግኝቶአል፤ ሕይወቴን በማዳንህ ምሕረትህንም አበረከትህ፤ ነገር ግን ወደ ተራራ መሽሽ አልችልም፤ ክፉ ነገር እንዳይደርስብኝ እና እንዳልሞት እፈራለሁ።

    30ሎጥም ከጾዓር ወጥቶ ወደ ተራራ አረፈ፣ ሁለቱ ሴት ልጆቹም ከእርሱ ጋር፤ በጾዓር መቀመጥ ፈርቶ ነበርና። እርሱና ሁለቱ ሴት ልጆቹ በዋሻ ኖሩ።

    31በኵርቷም ለታናሹ እንዲህ አለች፣ አባታችን የሸመገለ ነው፤ በምድር ሁሉ ልማድ እንደ ሆነ ወደ እኛ ለመግባት የሚመጣ ወንድ የለም።
