This shall be a perpetual statute for all your generations in all your dwellings. 22 When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not completely harvest the corners of your field, nor gather the gleanings of your harvest. Leave them for the poor and for the foreigner. I am the Lord your God. 23 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 24 Speak to the Israelites and tell them: In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall hold a day of rest, a memorial with trumpet blasts, a sacred assembly.
