  • Acts 9:13-20 : 13 Ananias answered, "Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much harm he has done to Your saints in Jerusalem. 14 And here he has authority from the chief priests to arrest all who call on Your name. 15 But the Lord said to him, "Go, for this man is My chosen instrument to carry My name before Gentiles, kings, and the sons of Israel. 16 For I will show him how much he must suffer for My name’s sake." 17 Ananias went, entered the house, and after placing his hands on him, said, "Brother Saul, the Lord—Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming—has sent me so that you might regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit." 18 At once, something like scales fell from his eyes, and he regained his sight. He got up and was baptized. 19 And after taking food, he regained his strength. • 2 Cor 5:14-21 : 14 For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15 And he died for all, so that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for the one who died for them and was raised. 16 So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Even though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
