8which none of the rulers of this world hath known: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory:

18Let no man deceive himself. If any man thinketh that he is wise among you in this world, let him become a fool, that he may become wise.

8and, A stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence; for they stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
16For I am not ashamed of the gospel: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
32Wherefore? Because [they sought it] not by faith, but as it were by works. They stumbled at the stone of stumbling;
33even as it is written, Behold, I lay in Zion a stone of stumbling and a rock of offence: And he that believeth on him shall not be put to shame.
22Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23and changed the glory of the incorruptible God for the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things.
9What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we before laid to the charge both of Jews and Greeks, that they are all under sin;
15Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:
16the one [do it] of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel;
11But I, brethren, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? then hath the stumbling-block of the cross been done away.
32Give no occasions of stumbling, either to Jews, or to Greeks, or to the church of God:
27to whom God was pleased to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
28whom we proclaim, admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ;
14Now the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him; and he cannot know them, because they are spiritually judged.
15For we are a sweet savor of Christ unto God, in them that are saved, and in them that perish;
17This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye no longer walk as the Gentiles also walk, in the vanity of their mind,
15who both killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets, and drove out us, and pleased not God, and are contrary to all men;
13For whether we are beside ourselves, it is unto God; or whether we are of sober mind, it is unto you.
11For other foundation can no man lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
