3for we are the circumcision, who worship by the Spirit of God, and glory in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh:
4though I myself might have confidence even in the flesh: if any other man thinketh to have confidence in the flesh, I yet more:
25If we live by the Spirit, by the Spirit let us also walk.
8and they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9But ye are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you. But if any man hath not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
17This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye no longer walk as the Gentiles also walk, in the vanity of their mind,
16Wherefore we henceforth know no man after the flesh: even though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now we know [him so] no more.
3for ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you jealousy and strife, are ye not carnal, and do ye not walk after the manner of men?
1Forasmuch then as Christ suffered in the flesh, arm ye yourselves also with the same mind; for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
2that ye no longer should live the rest of your time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
16Wherefore we faint not; but though our outward man is decaying, yet our inward man is renewed day by day.
9not because we have not the right, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you, that ye should imitate us.
13Let us walk becomingly, as in the day; not in revelling and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and jealousy.
14But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to [fulfil] the lusts [thereof] .
4No soldier on service entangleth himself in the affairs of [this] life; that he may please him who enrolled him as a soldier.
11Let such a one reckon this, that, what we are in word by letters when we are absent, such [are we] also in deed when we are present.
26I therefore so run, as not uncertainly; so fight I, as not beating the air:
5For even when we were come into Macedonia our flesh had no relief, but [we were] afflicted on every side; without [were] fightings, within [were] fears.
3if so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
5For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions, which were through the law, wrought in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
3among whom we also all once lived in the lust of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest:--
10always bearing about in the body the dying of Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our body.
11For we who live are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal flesh.
12So then death worketh in us, but life in you.
10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God afore prepared that we should walk in them.
18while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
14For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
9that I may not seem as if I would terrify you by my letters.
13Which things also we speak, not in words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Spirit teacheth; combining spiritual things with spiritual [words] .
1There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus.
17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
16only, whereunto we have attained, by that same [rule] let us walk.
4And such confidence have we through Christ to God-ward:
7Ye look at the things that are before your face. If any man trusteth in himself that he is Christ's, let him consider this again with himself, that, even as he is Christ's, so also are we.
