20Avoiding this, that any man should blame us in [the matter of] this bounty which is ministered by us:
21for we take thought for things honorable, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.
8If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
16that ye also be in subjection unto such, and to every one that helpeth in the work and laboreth.
4but even as we have been approved of God to be intrusted with the gospel, so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God who proveth our hearts.
23Whether [any inquire] about Titus, [he is] my partner and [my] fellow-worker to you-ward, or our brethren, [they are] the messengers of the churches, [they are] the glory of Christ.
1And working together [with him] we entreat also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain
6And ye became imitators of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit;
11ye also helping together on our behalf by your supplication; that, for the gift bestowed upon us by means of many, thanks may be given by many persons on our behalf.
7For I had much joy and comfort in thy love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through thee, brother.
8Wherefore, though I have all boldness in Christ to enjoin thee that which is befitting,
11for thus shall be richly supplied unto you the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
13And for this cause we also thank God without ceasing, that, when ye received from us the word of the message, [even the word] of God, ye accepted [it] not [as] the word of men, but, as it is in truth, the word of God, which also worketh in you that believe.
18[ My] Little children, let us not love in word, neither with the tongue; but in deed and truth.
11For this is the message which ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another:
16For we did not follow cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
