13For not through the law was the promise to Abraham or to his seed that he should be heir of the world, but through the righteousness of faith.
17By faith Abraham, being tried, offered up Isaac: yea, he that had gladly received the promises was offering up his only begotten [son] ;
18[ even he] to whom it was said, In Isaac shall thy seed be called:
14that upon the Gentiles might come the blessing of Abraham in Christ Jesus; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
9and think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
