18For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no more of promise: but God hath granted it to Abraham by promise.
6but he whose genealogy is not counted from them hath taken tithes of Abraham, and hath blessed him that hath the promises.
12that ye be not sluggish, but imitators of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
20And inasmuch as [it is] not without the taking of an oath
8By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed to go out unto a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
9By faith he became a sojourner in the land of promise, as in a [land] not his own, dwelling in tents, with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:

9And the servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master, and sware to him concerning this matter.
6Even as Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned unto him for righteousness.
9And God said unto Abraham, And as for thee, thou shalt keep my covenant, thou, and thy seed after thee throughout their generations.
13For not through the law was the promise to Abraham or to his seed that he should be heir of the world, but through the righteousness of faith.
20yet, looking unto the promise of God, he wavered not through unbelief, but waxed strong through faith, giving glory to God,
21and being fully assured that what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

17But as the time of the promise drew nigh which God vouchsafed unto Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt,
13Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it for ever.
5because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.
3and I will make thee swear by Jehovah, the God of heaven and the God of the earth, that thou wilt not take a wife for my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell:
2And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.
53The God of Abraham, and the God of Nahor, the God of their father, judge betwixt us. And Jacob sware by the Fear of his father Isaac.
19And God said, Nay, but Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for his seed after him. [
6And he believed in Jehovah; and he reckoned it to him for righteousness.
13Thou shalt fear Jehovah thy God; and him shalt thou serve, and shalt swear by his name.
9For this is a word of promise, According to this season will I come, and Sarah shall have a son.
18seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?
6and sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created the heaven and the things that are therein, and the earth and the things that are therein, and the sea and the things that are therein, that there shall be delay no longer:
5and he gave him none inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on: and he promised that he would give it to him in possession, and to his seed after him, when [as yet] he had no child.
9So then they that are of faith are blessed with the faithful Abraham.
4And I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their sojournings, wherein they sojourned.
16For this cause [it is] of faith, that [it may be] according to grace; to the end that the promise may be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all
