In answer to the request you made to the Lord your God in Horeb on the day of the great meeting, when you said, Let not the voice of the Lord my God come to my ears again, and let me not see this great fire any more, or death will overtake me.

  • 10 For this cause you are to give ear to the voice of the Lord your God, and do his orders and his laws which I give you this day.

  • 20 But it is not possible for you to see my face, for no man may see me and still go on living.

  • 4 And Moses, crying out to the Lord, said, What am I to do to this people? they are almost ready to put me to death by stoning.
