19 Then we went on from Horeb, through all that great and cruel waste which you saw, on our way to the hill-country of the Amorites, as the Lord gave us orders; and we came to Kadesh-barnea.
21 And the Lord was angry with me because of you, and made an oath that I was not to go over Jordan into the good land which the Lord is giving you for your heritage:
16 But they and our fathers, in their pride, made their necks stiff, and gave no attention to your orders,
8 Let not your hearts be hard, as at Meribah, as in the day of Massah in the waste land;
