6Then Moses gave an order, and they sent this proclamation throughout the camp: "No man or woman is to make anything else as an offering for the sanctuary." And so the people were restrained from bringing more,

6Then the leaders of the families, the officers of the tribes of Israel, the commanders of thousands and hundreds, and the officials in charge of the king’s work gave willingly.
9The people rejoiced at their willing offering, for they had given freely and wholeheartedly to the LORD. And King David also rejoiced greatly.
4And let every survivor, wherever they may reside, be supported by the people of that place with silver, gold, goods, and livestock, along with their voluntary offerings for the house of God in Jerusalem.
5Then the family heads of Judah and Benjamin, the priests, and the Levites—everyone whose spirit God had stirred—rose to go up and rebuild the house of the LORD in Jerusalem.
6Their neighbors supported them with silver articles, gold, goods, livestock, and choice gifts, in addition to all the freewill offerings.
50'So we are bringing an offering to the LORD from the gold articles each of us has found—armlets, bracelets, signet rings, earrings, and pendants—to make atonement for ourselves before the LORD.'
