  • Isa 53:2-9 : 2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no form or majesty to attract us to him, and no appearance that we should desire him. 3 He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. Like one from whom people hide their faces, he was despised, and we did not esteem him. 4 Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. 5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds, we are healed. 6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray; each of us has turned to our own way, and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth. 8 By oppression and judgment, he was taken away. Yet who of his generation protested? For he was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people, he was punished. 9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth. 10 Yet it was the Lord's will to crush him and cause him to suffer. When you make his life an offering for sin, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand. 11 After his suffering, he will see the result and be satisfied. By his knowledge, my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities. 12 Therefore I will give him a portion among the great, and he will divide the spoils with the strong, because he poured out his life unto death and was numbered with the transgressors. He bore the sin of many and made intercession for the transgressors.
  • Isa 52:13-15 : 13 Behold, my servant will act wisely; he will be raised up, lifted high, and greatly exalted. 14 Just as many were appalled at you—his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any man, and his form marred beyond human likeness— 15 so he will startle many nations, and kings will shut their mouths because of him. For what they were not told, they will see, and what they have not heard, they will understand.

He will teach us His ways so that we may walk in His paths.' For instruction will go out from Zion, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. 4 He will judge between the nations and settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they learn war anymore.
  • Mic 4:1-3 : 1 In the last days, the mountain of the house of the LORD will be firmly established at the top of the mountains, and it will be raised above the hills, and peoples will stream to it. 2 Many nations will come and say, 'Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD and to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us His ways, and we will walk in His paths.’ For the law will go out from Zion and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. 3 He will judge between many peoples and settle disputes for strong nations far away. • Isa 49:5-9 : 5 And now this is what the Lord says—He who formed me in the womb to be His servant, to bring Jacob back to Him and gather Israel to Himself. For I have been honored in the eyes of the Lord, and my God has been my strength. 6 He says, 'It is too small a thing for you to be my servant to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back the preserved ones of Israel. I will also make you a light to the nations so that you may bring my salvation to the ends of the earth.' 7 This is what the Lord, the Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, says: To the one despised and abhorred by the nations, to the servant of rulers: Kings will see you and stand to attention, and princes will bow down because of the Lord, who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you. 8 This is what the Lord says: 'In the time of favor, I answered you, and in the day of salvation, I helped you. I will preserve you and make you a covenant to the people to restore the land and to distribute its desolate inheritances.' 9 To say to the captives, 'Come out,' and to those in darkness, 'Show yourselves.' For He who has compassion on them will guide them, and He will lead them beside springs of water.
