5Then Moses commanded the Israelites according to the word of the LORD, saying, 'What the tribe of the sons of Joseph is saying is right.'
6'This is what the LORD has commanded concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying: They may marry whomever is good in their eyes, but they must marry someone within a clan of their father’s tribe.'
7'Thus, no inheritance of the Israelites will transfer from one tribe to another, for each Israelite is to cling to the inheritance of their ancestral tribe.'
8'Every daughter who inherits land from the tribes of Israel must marry within a clan of her father’s tribe, so that every Israelite may retain the inheritance of their ancestors.'
9'No inheritance may be transferred from one tribe to another, for each Israelite tribe is to retain its inheritance.'

17He has cast the lot for them, and His hand has divided it among them with the measuring line. They will possess it forever; from generation to generation, they will dwell there.
7Now divide this land as an inheritance for the nine tribes and the half-tribe of Manasseh.
30But if they do not cross over armed with you, they must take their possession among you in the land of Canaan."
