21Eleazar the priest said to the soldiers who had gone into battle, 'This is the regulation of the law that the LORD has commanded Moses.'
28So Moses gave orders about them to Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the leaders of the tribes of Israel.
2Take a census of the entire community of the Israelites, by their clans and their ancestral houses, counting the names of all the males, head by head.
3You must count all those who are twenty years old or older, who are able to serve in the army of Israel, division by division—you and Aaron together.
2Take a census of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, by their families and by their ancestral houses.
14However, you may take the women, children, livestock, and everything else in the city as your spoils. You may enjoy the plunder from your enemies that the LORD your God has given you.
9The Israelites captured the women of Midian and their children, and they took all their livestock, all their goods, and all their wealth as plunder.
7But we kept all the livestock and the spoils of the cities for ourselves.
2Take vengeance on the Midianites for the people of Israel. Afterward, you will be gathered to your people.
3So Moses said to the people, 'Arm some of your men for battle, to go against Midian and execute the LORD's vengeance on Midian.'
63These were the numbers recorded by Moses and Eleazar the priest when they counted the Israelites in the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho.
12When you take a census of the Israelites to number them, each shall give a ransom for his life to the LORD when you number them, so that there will be no plague among them when you number them.
5“Accept these from them so that they may be used for the work of the Tent of Meeting. Assign them to the Levites according to their roles of service.”
