25And she came in strayghtwaye, with haste, vnto the kyng, and asked, saying: I wyll, that thou geue me by and by in a charger, the head of Iohn Baptist.
26And the kyng was sory, howebeit, for his othes sake, & for their sakes whiche sate at supper also, he woulde not caste her of.

11And his head was brought in a platter, and geuen to the damsell: and she brought it to her mother.

10His disciples say vnto hym: If the matter be so betwene man and wyfe, then is it not good to mary.
16Iesus sayth vnto her: Go, call thy husbande, and come hyther.
17The woman aunswered, and sayde vnto hym: I haue no husbande. Iesus sayde vnto her: Thou hast well sayde, I haue no husbande.
18For thou hast had fyue husbandes, and he whom thou now hast, is not thy husbande. In that saydest thou truely.
14But Iohn forbad hym, saying. I haue nede to be baptized of thee, and commest thou to me?
11And he sayth vnto them: Whosoeuer putteth away his wyfe, & maryeth another, committeth adulterie agaynst her.
12And yf a woman put away her husbande, and be maryed to another, she committeth adulterie.
24For Iohn was not yet cast into prison.
3The pharisees also came vnto hym, temptyng hym, and saying vnto hym: Is it lawfull for a man to put away his wyfe, for euery cause?
4He aunswered and sayde vnto them: Haue ye not read, that he which created at the begynnyng, made them male and female,

18Whosoeuer forsaketh his wyfe, and marieth another, committeth adulterie. And he that maryeth her that is deuorced from her husbande, committeth adulterie also.
4Her first man whiche sent her away, may not take her agayne to be his wyfe after that she is defiled: For that is abhomination in the sight of the Lorde, and thou shalt not cause the lande to sinne, whiche the Lorde thy God shall geue thee to inherite.

14And lay shamefull thynges vnto her charge, and bryng vp an euyll name vpon her, and say, I toke this wyfe, and when I came to her I founde her not a mayde:
7And Herode the tetrarche heard of all that was done by hym, and doubted, because that it was sayde of some, that Iohn was rysen agayne from death:
