2but as we had suffred afore, & were shamefully intreated at Philippos (as ye knowe) we were bolde in oure God, to speake vnto you ye Gospel of God with moch stryuynge.
3For oure exhortacion was not to brynge you to erroure ner yet to vnclennes, nether was it with gyle:
4but as we are alowed of God, that the Gospell shulde be commytted vnto vs to preache, euen so we speake, not as though we wolde please me, but God, which tryeth oure hertes.
5For we haue not gone aboute with flateringe wordes (as ye knowe) ner wayted for oure owne profit ( God is recorde)

6And though I be rude in speakynge, yet am I not rude in knowlege. Howbeit amoge you I am knowne to the vttemost.

2Dearly beloued, we are now ye childre of God, and yet hath it not appeared what we shalbe. But we knowe yt when he shal appeare, we shal be like him: for we shal se him as he is.
3And euery man yt hath this hope in him, pourgeth him selfe, euen as he is pure.

20We can not chose, but speake that we haue sene & herde.

5for ye hopes sake which is layed vp in stoare for you in heauen: of the which ye haue herde before by the worde of trueth in the Gospell,
2I beseke you that I nede not be bolde whan I am present, & to vse yt boldnesse wherwith I am supposed to be bolde, agaynst some, which repute vs as though we walked after ye flesh:
7But this treasure haue we in earthen vessels, that ye power which excelleth might be of God, and not of vs.
18Praye for vs. We haue confidence, because we haue a good coscience in all thinges, and desyre to lyue honestly.
13Neuertheles we loke for a new heauen and a new earth (acordynge to his promes) wherin dwelleth righteousnes.
14Wherfore dearly beloued, seynge that ye loke for soch thinges, be diligent, yt ye maye be founde before him in peace without spot and vndefyled:
11Let him yt is soche, thinke on this wyse, that as we are in worde by letters wha we are absente, soch are we also in dede whan we are present.
