5 A foole despyseth his fathers correccion, but he yt taketh hede whan he is reproued, shal haue ye more vnderstodinge.

1 Rebuke not an Elder, but exhorte him as a father: and the yoger men as brethren:
12 Derely beloued, maruell not at this heate (which is come amoge you to trye you) as though some strauge thinge happened vnto you:
15 Foolishnes sticketh in the herte of ye lad, but ye rod of correccion driueth it awaye.

15 solonge as it is sayde: Todaye, yf ye shal heare his voyce, harde not youre hertes, as in the prouocacio.
6 in the which ye shal reioyse, though now for a litle season (yff nede requyre) ye are in heuynes thorow manyfolde temptacions:
27 My sonne, heare nomore the doctrine yt leadeth the awaye from the wordes of vnderstondinge.
