15 And when the sons of the prophets who were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.
13 And when Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entrance of the cave. And behold, a voice came to him, and said, What are you doing here, Elijah?

13 And behold, there came a prophet to Ahab king of Israel, saying, Thus says the LORD, Have you seen all this great multitude? behold, I will deliver it into your hand this day; and you shall know that I am the LORD.
8 And the word of the LORD came to him, saying,
2 And Elijah said to Elisha, Stay here, I pray you; for the LORD has sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said to him, As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you. So they went down to Bethel.

And the third captain of fifty went up and came and fell on his knees before Elijah, and pleaded with him, and said to him, O man of God, I pray you, let my life, and the life of these fifty servants of yours, be precious in your sight.
19 So he departed from there, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth. And Elijah passed by him and cast his mantle upon him.
11 And it happened, as they still went on and talked, that behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both apart; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
2 And he lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, three men stood by him; and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself to the ground,
6 And Elijah said to him, Stay here, I pray you; for the LORD has sent me to Jordan. And he said, As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you. And they both went on.
3 And when he saw that, he arose, and ran for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant there.
11 Again he sent to him another captain of fifty with his fifty. And he answered and said to him, O man of God, thus says the king, Come down quickly.
