And the LORD said to him, Go, return on your way to the wilderness of Damascus, and when you arrive, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria.

10 And Elisha said to him, "Go, say to him, 'You may certainly recover:' however the LORD has shown me that he shall surely die."

4 But I will send a fire into the house of Hazael, which shall devour the palaces of Benhadad.
5 I will also break the bar of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitant from the plain of Aven, and him who holds the scepter from the house of Eden; and the people of Syria shall go into captivity to Kir, says the LORD.

30 Now the king of Syria had commanded the captains of the chariots that were with him, saying, Fight not with small or great, except only with the king of Israel.
34 And Benhadad said to him, The cities, which my father took from your father, I will restore; and you shall make streets for yourself in Damascus, as my father made in Samaria. Then said Ahab, I will send you away with this covenant. So he made a covenant with him, and sent him away.
28 And he went with Joram the son of Ahab to the war against Hazael king of Syria in Ramothgilead; and the Syrians wounded Joram.
29 And king Joram went back to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him at Ramah, when he fought against Hazael king of Syria. And Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to see Joram the son of Ahab in Jezreel, because he was sick.
2 And he sent messengers to Ahab king of Israel into the city, and said to him, Thus says Benhadad,
24 So Hazael king of Syria died, and Benhadad his son reigned in his place.
3 And call Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will show you what you shall do: and you shall anoint for me him whom I name to you.
9 Therefore, he said to the messengers of Benhadad, Tell my lord the king, All that you first sent for to your servant I will do: but this thing I may not do. And the messengers departed, and brought him word again.
11 But Jehoshaphat said, "Is there not here a prophet of the LORD, that we may inquire of the LORD by him?" And one of the king of Israel's servants answered and said, "Here is Elisha the son of Shaphat, who poured water on the hands of Elijah."
15 And the angel of the LORD said to Elijah, Go down with him; do not be afraid of him. So he arose and went down with him to the king.
2 And the word of the LORD came to him, saying,
1 And the LORD said to Samuel, How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and go; I will send you to Jesse the Bethlehemite, for I have provided for myself a king among his sons.
19 The man of God was angry with him and said, "You should have struck five or six times; then you would have smitten Syria until it was destroyed. But now you shall smite Syria only three times."
13 And Elisha said to the king of Israel, "What have I to do with you? Go to the prophets of your father and to the prophets of your mother." And the king of Israel said to him, "No, for the LORD has called these three kings together to deliver them into the hand of Moab."
