    26When the people came into the forest, behold, the honey was dripping, but no one put his hand to his mouth, for the people feared the oath.

    27But Jonathan had not heard when his father charged the people with the oath, so he put out the end of the rod that was in his hand and dipped it in a honeycomb, and put his hand to his mouth; and his eyes brightened.

    30How much better if the people had eaten freely today of the spoil of their enemies which they found! For now the slaughter among the Philistines has not been great."

    20Then Saul and all the people with him assembled and went into battle; and behold, every man's sword was against his fellow, and there was very great confusion.

    21Moreover, the Hebrews who had been with the Philistines before that time, who went up with them into the camp, also turned to be with the Israelites who were with Saul and Jonathan.

    1On a certain day, Jonathan the son of Saul said to the young man who carried his armor, "Come, let us go over to the Philistines' garrison on the other side." But he did not tell his father.

    2Saul was staying in the outermost part of Gibeah under a pomegranate tree in Migron, and the people with him were about six hundred men;
