18So David fled, and escaped, and came to Samuel at Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and lived in Naioth.

26And Saul went on this side of the mountain, and David and his men on that side of the mountain; and David made haste to get away for fear of Saul; for Saul and his men surrounded David and his men, intending to capture them.
7So David restrained his servants with these words and did not allow them to rise against Saul. But Saul rose up out of the cave and went on his way.
10And Saul sought to pin David to the wall with the javelin, but he slipped away out of Saul's presence, and he drove the javelin into the wall; and David fled and escaped that night.
3And he came to the sheepfolds by the way, where there was a cave; and Saul went in to relieve himself. And David and his men remained in the sides of the cave.
7And the time that David dwelt in the country of the Philistines was a full year and four months.

28Therefore, Saul returned from pursuing after David, and went against the Philistines; therefore, they called that place Selahammahlekoth.
29And David went up from there, and lived in strongholds at Engedi.
8And there was war again; and David went out, and fought with the Philistines, and killed them with a great slaughter; and they fled from him.
24And the servants of Saul told him, saying, This is what David spoke.
1Now after this, it came to pass that David struck the Philistines and subdued them, and took Gath and its towns out of the hand of the Philistines.
6Then Achish called David and said to him, Surely, as the LORD lives, you have been upright, and your going out and coming in with me in the army is good in my sight, for I have found no evil in you since the day of your coming to me until this day; nevertheless the lords do not favor you.
7Therefore now return, and go in peace, that you do not displease the lords of the Philistines.
8And David said to Achish, But what have I done? and what have you found in your servant since I have been with you until this day, that I may not go fight against the enemies of my lord the king?

29And Saul was yet more afraid of David; and Saul became David's enemy continually.
30Then the princes of the Philistines went forth: and it came to pass, when they went forth, that David behaved himself more wisely than all the servants of Saul; so that his name was highly esteemed.
5And David went out wherever Saul sent him, and behaved himself wisely: and Saul set him over the men of war, and he was accepted in the sight of all the people, and also in the sight of Saul's servants.
