  • 17 But when the Philistines heard that they had anointed David king over Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David. And David heard of it and went down to the stronghold.

  • 8 These were born to the giant in Gath; and they fell by the hand of David and by the hand of his servants.

  • 17 And Saul recognized David's voice and said, "Is this your voice, my son David?" And David said, "It is my voice, my lord, O king."

  • 3 And he came to the sheepfolds by the way, where there was a cave; and Saul went in to relieve himself. And David and his men remained in the sides of the cave.

  • 30 But David could not go before it to inquire of God; for he was afraid because of the sword of the angel of the LORD.
