7 Therefore now return, and go in peace, that you do not displease the lords of the Philistines.
9 And Achish answered and said to David, I know that you are good in my sight, like an angel of God; notwithstanding, the princes of the Philistines have said, He shall not go up with us to the battle.
10 Therefore now rise up early in the morning with your master's servants who have come with you, and as soon as you are up early in the morning and have light, depart.
28 Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spoke to the men and Eliab's anger burned against David. He said, Why have you come down here? With whom have you left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know your pride and the wickedness of your heart, for you have come down to see the battle.
29 David said, What have I done now? Is there not a cause?
18 And he said, "Why does my lord pursue after his servant? What have I done? Or what evil is in my hand?
19 Now, therefore, please let my lord the king hear the words of his servant. If the LORD has stirred you up against me, let Him accept an offering. But if it is the children of men, cursed are they before the LORD, for they have driven me out this day from abiding in the inheritance of the LORD, saying, 'Go, serve other gods.'
1 In those days, the Philistines gathered their armies for war, to fight against Israel. And Achish said to David, Be assured, you shall go out with me to battle, you and your men.
2 And David said to Achish, Surely, you shall see what your servant can do. And Achish said to David, Therefore, I will make you keeper of my head forever.
22 And David said, What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah, that you should this day be adversaries unto me? Shall any man be put to death this day in Israel? For do not I know that I am this day king over Israel?
5 And David said to Achish, If I have now found favor in your eyes, let them give me a place in some town in the country, that I may dwell there. For why should your servant dwell in the royal city with you?
12 And Achish believed David, saying, He has made his people Israel utterly detest him; therefore he will be my servant forever.
8 And David said to Ahimelech, Is there not here on hand a spear or sword? For I have not brought my sword nor my weapons with me, because the king's business required haste.
9 And David said to Saul, Why do you listen to men's words, saying, Behold, David seeks your harm?
1 And David said in his heart, I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul. There is nothing better for me than that I should quickly escape into the land of the Philistines; then Saul will despair of me, to seek me any longer in any territory of Israel. Thus I will escape out of his hand.
2 And David arose, and he passed over with the six hundred men who were with him to Achish, the son of Maoch, king of Gath.
14 Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, And who is so faithful among all your servants as David, who is the king's son-in-law, and goes at your bidding, and is honorable in your house?
15 Did I then begin to enquire of God for him? Far be it from me: let not the king impute anything to his servant, nor to all the house of my father: for your servant knew nothing of all this, little or much.
10 And Achish said, Where have you made a raid today? And David said, Against the south of Judah, against the south of the Jerahmeelites, and against the south of the Kenites.
2 Therefore David inquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go and strike these Philistines? And the LORD said to David, Go and strike the Philistines, and save Keilah.
1 And David fled from Naioth in Ramah, and came and said before Jonathan, What have I done? What is my iniquity? And what is my sin before your father, that he seeks my life?
32 David said to Saul, Let no man's heart fail because of him; your servant will go and fight with this Philistine.
18 And David said to Saul, Who am I? and what is my life, or my father's family in Israel, that I should be son-in-law to the king?
10 And David arose and fled that day for fear of Saul, and went to Achish the king of Gath.

15 And David said to him, Can you bring me down to this company? And he said, Swear to me by God, that you will neither kill me, nor deliver me into the hands of my master, and I will bring you down to this company.
27 And he has slandered your servant to my lord the king; but my lord the king is as an angel of God; do therefore what is good in your eyes.
17 And he said to David, You are more righteous than I: for you have rewarded me good, whereas I have rewarded you evil.
18 And you have shown this day how you have dealt well with me: for when the LORD delivered me into your hand, you did not kill me.
19 For if a man finds his enemy, will he let him go away safely? Therefore the LORD reward you good for that which you have done unto me this day.
17 And David went out to meet them, and said to them, If you have come peacefully to help me, my heart shall be united with you; but if you have come to betray me to my enemies, since there is no wrong in my hands, may the God of our fathers see and judge.
20 And what can David say more to you? for you, Lord GOD, know your servant.
26 David spoke to the men standing by him, asking, What shall be done for the man who kills this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of the living God?
8 He stood and cried to the armies of Israel and said to them, Why have you come out to set your battle in array? Am I not a Philistine, and you the servants of Saul? Choose a man for yourselves and let him come down to me.
18 Then King David went in and sat before the LORD, and he said, Who am I, O Lord GOD? and what is my house, that you have brought me this far?
30 Then the princes of the Philistines went forth: and it came to pass, when they went forth, that David behaved himself more wisely than all the servants of Saul; so that his name was highly esteemed.
18 What can David say more to you for the honor of your servant? for you know your servant.
10 Then David said, O LORD God of Israel, your servant has certainly heard that Saul seeks to come to Keilah, to destroy the city for my sake.
10 David inquired of God, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will you deliver them into my hand? And the LORD said to him, Go up; for I will deliver them into your hand.
28 Please forgive the trespass of your maidservant, for the LORD will certainly make my lord a sure house, because my lord fights the battles of the LORD, and evil has not been found in you all your days.
19 And said to the king, Let not my lord impute iniquity to me, neither remember what your servant did perversely the day my lord the king went out of Jerusalem, that the king should take it to his heart.
6 Then David answered and said to Ahimelech the Hittite and Abishai the son of Zeruiah, Joab's brother, "Who will go down with me to the camp of Saul?" And Abishai said, "I will go down with you."
19 And David inquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will you deliver them into my hand? And the LORD said to David, Go up, for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into your hand.
21 Now David had said, Surely in vain have I protected all that this fellow has in the wilderness, so that nothing was missing of all that belonged to him, and he has repaid me evil for good.
