And he said, "Why does my lord pursue after his servant? What have I done? Or what evil is in my hand?

17 And he said to David, You are more righteous than I: for you have rewarded me good, whereas I have rewarded you evil.
18 And you have shown this day how you have dealt well with me: for when the LORD delivered me into your hand, you did not kill me.
19 For if a man finds his enemy, will he let him go away safely? Therefore the LORD reward you good for that which you have done unto me this day.
8 Therefore you shall deal kindly with your servant; for you have brought your servant into a covenant of the LORD with you: nevertheless, if there is in me iniquity, slay me yourself; for why should you bring me to your father?
15 Did I then begin to enquire of God for him? Far be it from me: let not the king impute anything to his servant, nor to all the house of my father: for your servant knew nothing of all this, little or much.
8 That all of you have conspired against me, and there is none that shows me that my son has made a league with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you that is sorry for me, or shows to me that my son has stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?
24 And the servants of Saul told him, saying, This is what David spoke.
1 And David said in his heart, I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul. There is nothing better for me than that I should quickly escape into the land of the Philistines; then Saul will despair of me, to seek me any longer in any territory of Israel. Thus I will escape out of his hand.
17 And Saul said to Michal, Why have you deceived me so, and sent away my enemy, so that he has escaped? And Michal answered Saul, He said to me, Let me go; why should I kill you?
4 And Jonathan spoke well of David to Saul his father, and said to him, Let not the king sin against his servant, against David; because he has not sinned against you, and because his deeds have been very good toward you:
5 For he put his life in his hand, and killed the Philistine, and the LORD worked a great salvation for all Israel; you saw it, and rejoiced; why then will you sin against innocent blood, to slay David without a cause?
6 And he said to his men, The LORD forbid that I should do this thing unto my master, the LORD'S anointed, to stretch forth my hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the LORD.

12 Then David said, Will the men of Keilah deliver me and my men into the hand of Saul? And the LORD said, They will deliver you up.
19 And said to the king, Let not my lord impute iniquity to me, neither remember what your servant did perversely the day my lord the king went out of Jerusalem, that the king should take it to his heart.
8 And David said to Ahimelech, Is there not here on hand a spear or sword? For I have not brought my sword nor my weapons with me, because the king's business required haste.
18 What can David say more to you for the honor of your servant? for you know your servant.
17 And David said to God, Was it not I who commanded the people to be numbered? It is I who have sinned and done evil indeed; but as for these sheep, what have they done? Let your hand, I pray, O LORD my God, be on me, and on my father's house; but not on your people, that they should be afflicted.
14 And David said to him, How are you not afraid to stretch forth your hand to destroy the LORD'S anointed?
3 Then the princes of the Philistines said, What are these Hebrews doing here? And Achish said to the princes of the Philistines, Is this not David, the servant of Saul the king of Israel, who has been with me these days or these years, and I have found no fault in him since he defected to me until this day?
21 Now David had said, Surely in vain have I protected all that this fellow has in the wilderness, so that nothing was missing of all that belonged to him, and he has repaid me evil for good.
31 When the words that David spoke were heard, they repeated them before Saul, and he sent for him.
16 And David said to him, Your blood be upon your head; for your mouth has testified against you, saying, I have slain the LORD'S anointed.
11 The LORD forbid that I should stretch out my hand against the LORD's anointed. But, please, take now the spear that is at his head and the jar of water, and let us go."
