13For those who have served well as deacons acquire for themselves a good standing and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.
14These things I write to you, hoping to come to you shortly;
15But if I delay, that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.
5For this reason I left you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that are lacking, and appoint elders in every city, as I directed you—
6If anyone is blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of dissipation or insubordination.
7For a bishop must be blameless, as a steward of God; not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money;
8But hospitable, a lover of what is good, sober-minded, just, holy, self-controlled;
8This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.

7In all things showing yourself a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, dignity, sincerity,
6If you remind the brethren of these things, you shall be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of faith and of good doctrine, to which you have attained.
17That the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for all good works.
3If anyone teaches otherwise, and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness;
1But speak the things that are fitting for sound doctrine:
2That the older men be sober, dignified, temperate, sound in faith, in love, in patience.
21Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.
3Giving no offense in anything, that the ministry may not be blamed:
7For I wish that all men were as I am. But each one has his own gift from God, one in this manner and another in that.
8I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, it is good for them if they remain even as I am.
11But you, O man of God, flee these things; and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.
5And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules.
5To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.
7And these things command, that they may be blameless.
10Well reported for good works: if she has brought up children, if she has lodged strangers, if she has washed the saints' feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, if she has diligently followed every good work.
15Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
3Therefore, brothers, select from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this duty.
10Not pilfering, but showing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.
5Beloved, you do faithfully whatever you do for the brethren and for strangers;
26I suppose therefore that this is good because of the present distress—that it is good for a man to remain as he is.
3As I urged you to remain in Ephesus when I went into Macedonia, that you might instruct some that they teach no other doctrine,
