9Do not let a widow be taken into the number under sixty years old, having been the wife of one man,
10Well reported for good works: if she has brought up children, if she has lodged strangers, if she has washed the saints' feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, if she has diligently followed every good work.
11But refuse the younger widows; for when they have begun to grow wanton against Christ, they desire to marry;
9In the same way, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing;
10But what is proper for women professing godliness, with good works.
11Let a woman learn in silence with all submission.
5For in this manner, in former times, the holy women who trusted in God also adorned themselves, being submissive to their own husbands:

16If any man or woman who believes has widows, let them relieve them, and do not let the church be burdened, so that it may relieve those who are truly widows.
17Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine.
5Likewise, you younger ones, submit yourselves to the elder. Yes, all of you be subject to one another, and be clothed with humility: for God resists the proud, and gives grace to the humble.
12Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers, in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
11In the same way, their wives must be dignified, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.
22Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
1In the same way, you wives, be subject to your own husbands, so that if any do not obey the word, they may also be won without a word by the conduct of their wives;
2While they observe your pure conduct with reverence.
3Let your beauty not be the outward adornment of braiding hair, wearing gold, or putting on apparel;

5For this reason I left you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that are lacking, and appoint elders in every city, as I directed you—
6If anyone is blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of dissipation or insubordination.

2Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise;
