2 And Ahaziah fell through a lattice in his upper chamber that was in Samaria, and was sick; so he sent messengers and said to them, Go, inquire of Baalzebub, the god of Ekron, whether I shall recover from this disease.
3 But the angel of the LORD said to Elijah the Tishbite, Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say to them, Is it not because there is no God in Israel that you go to inquire of Baalzebub, the god of Ekron?
4 Now therefore thus says the LORD, You shall not come down from the bed to which you have gone up, but shall surely die. And Elijah departed.
15 And the angel of the LORD said to Elijah, Go down with him; do not be afraid of him. So he arose and went down with him to the king.
16 And he said to him, Thus says the LORD, Because you have sent messengers to inquire of Baalzebub, the god of Ekron, is it not because there is no God in Israel to inquire of his word? Therefore, you shall not come down from the bed to which you have gone up, but shall surely die.

9 Therefore, he said to the messengers of Benhadad, Tell my lord the king, All that you first sent for to your servant I will do: but this thing I may not do. And the messengers departed, and brought him word again.
18 So there went one on horseback to meet him, and said, Thus says the king, Is it peace? And Jehu said, What do you have to do with peace? Turn in behind me. And the watchman reported, saying, The messenger reached them, but he has not returned.
19 Then he sent another on horseback, who came to them, and said, Thus says the king, Is it peace? And Jehu answered, What do you have to do with peace? Turn in behind me.
20 And the watchman reported, saying, He reached them and has not returned: and the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he drives furiously.
25 And he went from there to Mount Carmel, and from there he returned to Samaria.
11 And now you say, Go, tell your lord, Behold, Elijah is here.
9 For so was it commanded me by the word of the LORD, saying, Eat no bread, nor drink water, nor return by the same way that you came.
10 So he went another way, and returned not by the way that he came to Bethel.

33 And while he yet talked with them, behold, the messenger came down to him: and he said, Behold, this evil is from the LORD; what should I wait for the LORD any longer?
14 So he departed from Elisha, and came to his master; who said to him, "What did Elisha say to you?" And he answered, "He told me that you should surely recover."
20 And he left the oxen and ran after Elijah, and said, Let me, I pray you, kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow you. And he said to him, Go back again, for what have I done to you?
21 And he returned from him, and took a yoke of oxen and slaughtered them, and boiled their flesh with the instruments of the oxen, and gave it to the people, and they ate. Then he arose and went after Elijah and ministered to him.
18 But to the king of Judah who sent you to inquire of the LORD, thus shall you say to him, Thus says the LORD God of Israel, As for the words which you have heard;
4 Moreover you shall say to them, Thus says the LORD; Shall they fall and not rise? Shall he turn away and not return?
21 And he cried to the man of God that came from Judah, saying, Thus says the LORD, Because you have disobeyed the mouth of the LORD, and have not kept the commandment which the LORD your God commanded you,
13 And he sent again a captain of a third fifty with his fifty. And the third captain of fifty went up and came and fell on his knees before Elijah, and pleaded with him, and said to him, O man of God, I pray you, let my life, and the life of these fifty servants of yours, be precious in your sight.
25 But he went in, and stood before his master. And Elisha said to him, Where have you been, Gehazi? And he said, Your servant went nowhere.
26 And he said to him, Did not my heart go with you, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet you? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive clothing, olive groves, and vineyards, sheep, oxen, male servants, and female servants?
8 And he answered him, I am: go, tell your lord, Behold, Elijah is here.
9 And he came to a cave and lodged there, and behold, the word of the LORD came to him, and he said to him, What are you doing here, Elijah?
32 For when the captains of the chariots perceived that it was not the king of Israel, they turned back from pursuing him.
17 For it was said to me by the word of the LORD, You shall eat no bread nor drink water there, nor return to go by the way that you came.
2 And the word of the LORD came to him, saying,

2 And Elijah said to Elisha, Stay here, I pray you; for the LORD has sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said to him, As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you. So they went down to Bethel.
3 Therefore say to them, Thus says the LORD of hosts: Turn to Me, says the LORD of hosts, and I will turn to you, says the LORD of hosts.
4 Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets proclaimed, saying, Thus says the LORD of hosts: Turn now from your evil ways and from your evil deeds. But they did not hear nor listen to Me, says the LORD.
4 And Elijah said to him, Elisha, stay here, I pray you; for the LORD has sent me to Jericho. And he said, As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you. So they came to Jericho.
12 And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom.
13 And he said, Go and see where he is, that I may send and bring him. And it was told him, saying, Behold, he is in Dothan.
18 And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but you and your father's house have, in that you have forsaken the commandments of the LORD, and you have followed Baalim.
