until the LORD removed Israel out of his sight, as he had said by all his servants the prophets. So Israel was carried away from their own land to Assyria, as it is to this day.

    28So one of the priests who had been carried away from Samaria came and lived in Bethel, and taught them how they should fear the LORD.

    26For the LORD saw the affliction of Israel, that it was very bitter, for there was no one left free, no help at all for Israel.

    27And the LORD did not say that He would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven, but He saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash.
