13 Do you not know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of other lands? Were the gods of those lands able to deliver their lands out of my hand?
14 Who among all the gods of those nations that my fathers utterly destroyed was able to deliver his people out of my hand, that your God should be able to deliver you out of my hand?
15 Now therefore, do not let Hezekiah deceive you or persuade you in this manner, nor believe him; for no god of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people out of my hand and from the hand of my fathers, how much less shall your God deliver you out of my hand?
25 Have I now come up without the LORD against this place to destroy it? The LORD said to me, Go up against this land, and destroy it.
17 The LORD shall bring upon you, and upon your people, and upon your father's house, days that have not come since the day that Ephraim departed from Judah; even the king of Assyria.
25 That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him underfoot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.
26 This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations.
21 And the LORD sent an angel who destroyed all the mighty men of valor and the leaders and captains in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame on his face to his own land. And when he entered the house of his god, his own sons killed him with the sword there.

6 And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod at its entrances; thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he comes into our land and when he treads within our borders.
16 And Isaiah said to Hezekiah, Hear the word of the LORD.
8 Then shall the Assyrian fall with the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not of a mean man, shall devour him: but he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be discomfited.
9 After this, Sennacherib king of Assyria sent his servants to Jerusalem (while he was besieging Lachish with all his forces), to Hezekiah king of Judah, and to all Judah that were in Jerusalem, saying,
10 Thus says Sennacherib king of Assyria, On what do you trust, that you remain under siege in Jerusalem?
13 In the fourteenth year of King Hezekiah, Sennacherib king of Assyria came up against all the fortified cities of Judah and took them.
17 He also wrote letters to insult the LORD God of Israel and to speak against Him, saying, As the gods of the nations of other lands have not delivered their people out of my hand, so shall not the God of Hezekiah deliver His people out of my hand.
26 So they spoke to the king of Assyria, saying, The nations you have removed and placed in the cities of Samaria do not know the manner of the God of the land; therefore he has sent lions among them, and behold, they are killing them, because they do not know the manner of the God of the land.
27 Then the king of Assyria commanded, saying, Bring one of the priests you brought from there; let him go and dwell there, and let him teach the people the manner of the God of the land.
7 At any moment I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it;
23 until the LORD removed Israel out of his sight, as he had said by all his servants the prophets. So Israel was carried away from their own land to Assyria, as it is to this day.
2 For the LORD's indignation is upon all nations, and His fury upon all their armies: He has utterly destroyed them, He has delivered them to the slaughter.
18 Your shepherds slumber, O king of Assyria: your nobles shall dwell in the dust: your people are scattered upon the mountains, and no one gathers them.
