5I say that your words are empty: I have counsel and strength for war. Now in whom do you trust, that you rebel against me?

20You say (but they are only vain words) I have counsel and strength for war. Now in whom do you trust, that you rebel against me?
17Until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of grain and wine, a land of bread and vineyards.
18Beware lest Hezekiah persuade you, saying, The LORD will deliver us. Has any of the gods of the nations delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?
19Where are the gods of Hamath and Arpad? Where are the gods of Sepharvaim? Indeed, have they delivered Samaria from my hand?

33Therefore thus says the LORD concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shields, nor build a siege ramp against it.
34By the way that he came, by the same shall he return, and shall not come into this city, says the LORD.
15Thus says the Lord GOD of hosts, Go, get to this treasurer, even to Shebna, who is over the house, and say,
17Truly, LORD, the kings of Assyria have destroyed the nations and their lands,

7Behold, I will send a blast upon him, and he shall hear a rumor, and return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.
21But he sent ambassadors to him, saying, 'What have I to do with you, king of Judah? I do not come against you this day, but against the house with which I am at war. For God commanded me to make haste. Refrain from interfering with God, who is with me, so that He does not destroy you.'
7But if you say to me, We trust in the LORD our God: is it not He whose high places and altars Hezekiah has removed, saying to Judah and Jerusalem, You shall worship before this altar?
6I will send him against a hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
6Then the word of the LORD came to the prophet Jeremiah, saying,

7Behold, I will send a spirit upon him, and he shall hear a rumor, and shall return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.

13For he says, By the strength of my hand, I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the boundaries of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have brought down the inhabitants like a valiant man;
24By your servants you have reproached the Lord, and have said, By the multitude of my chariots I have come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon; and I will cut down its tall cedars and its choice fir trees: and I will enter the height of its border, the forest of its Carmel.
10Go up upon her walls, and destroy; but do not make a full end: take away her battlements; for they are not the LORD'S.
26Come against her from the furthest border, open her storehouses: pile her up as heaps, and utterly destroy her: let nothing of her be left.
5The LORD spoke also to me again, saying,
16And Isaiah said to Hezekiah, Hear the word of the LORD.
