    10Have I now come up without the LORD against this land to destroy it? The LORD said to me, Go up against this land and destroy it.

    7Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or dismayed because of the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude with him, for there are more with us than with him:

    8With him is an arm of flesh, but with us is the LORD our God to help us and to fight our battles. And the people relied on the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.

    9After this, Sennacherib king of Assyria sent his servants to Jerusalem (while he was besieging Lachish with all his forces), to Hezekiah king of Judah, and to all Judah that were in Jerusalem, saying,

    27But Rabshakeh said to them, Has my master sent me to your master and to you to speak these words? Has he not sent me to the men sitting on the wall, who will eat their own dung and drink their own urine with you?

    28Then Rabshakeh stood and cried with a loud voice in Hebrew and spoke, saying, Hear the words of the great king, the king of Assyria!

    29Thus says the king: Do not let Hezekiah deceive you, for he shall not be able to deliver you out of his hand.

    30Nor let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, The LORD will surely deliver us, and this city shall not be handed over to the king of Assyria.
