Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets to Elisha, saying, Your servant my husband is dead; and you know that your servant feared the LORD: and the creditor has come to take my two sons to be slaves.

And when you have come in, you shall shut the door behind you and your sons, and pour out into all those vessels, and you shall set aside that which is full.

So she went from him, and shut the door behind her and her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out.

And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, Bring me another vessel. And he said to her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stopped.

Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow there to sustain you.

So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow was there gathering sticks: and he called to her, and said, Please, bring me a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.
