11The LORD has sworn in truth to David; He will not turn from it: Of the fruit of your body I will set upon your throne.
35Then you shall come up after him, that he may come and sit upon my throne; for he shall be king in my place; and I have appointed him to be ruler over Israel and over Judah.
18Then I will establish the throne of your kingdom, as I have covenanted with David your father, saying, You shall not fail to have a man to be ruler in Israel.
21And Abner said to David, I will arise and go, and will gather all Israel to my lord the king, that they may make a league with you, and that you may reign over all that your heart desires. And David sent Abner away, and he went in peace.
4That the Lord may continue His word which He spoke concerning me, saying, If your children take heed to their way, to walk before Me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail you a man on the throne of Israel.
20And you, my lord, O king, the eyes of all Israel are upon you, that you should tell them who shall sit on the throne of my lord the king after him.
7Now therefore thus shall you say to my servant David, Thus says the LORD of hosts, I took you from the sheepfold, even from following the sheep, that you should be ruler over my people Israel:
35But I will take the kingdom out of his son's hand, and will give it to you, even ten tribes.
36And to his son I will give one tribe, that David my servant may always have a lamp before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen for myself to put my name there.
37And I will take you, and you shall reign according to all that your soul desires, and shall be king over Israel.
7Therefore now let your hands be strengthened, and be valiant: for your master Saul is dead, and also the house of Judah has anointed me king over them.
8But Abner the son of Ner, captain of Saul's army, took Ishbosheth the son of Saul, and brought him over to Mahanaim;
9And made him king over Gilead, and over the Ashurites, and over Jezreel, and over Ephraim, and over Benjamin, and over all Israel.
2Also, in times past when Saul was king over us, it was you who led Israel out and brought them in. And the LORD said to you, You will feed my people Israel, and you will be a captain over Israel.
3So all the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron; and King David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD, and they anointed David king over Israel.
5Do you not know that the LORD God of Israel gave the kingdom over Israel to David forever, to him and his sons by a covenant of salt?
8Now therefore, so shall you say to my servant David, Thus says the LORD of hosts, I took you from the pasture, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel:
12And David perceived that the LORD had established him king over Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdom for the sake of his people Israel.
16And your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you: your throne shall be established forever.
10Moreover, I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; nor shall the children of wickedness afflict them anymore, as before,
11And since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel, and have caused you to rest from all your enemies. Also the LORD tells you that he will make you a house.
12And when your days are fulfilled, and you shall rest with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, which shall come out of your own body, and I will establish his kingdom.
57When David returned from killing the Philistine, Abner took him and brought him before Saul with the head of the Philistine in his hand.
1Now there was a long war between the house of Saul and the house of David. But David grew stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul grew weaker and weaker.
20And all Israel from Dan even to Beersheba knew that Samuel was established to be a prophet of the LORD.
10Then David said, O LORD God of Israel, your servant has certainly heard that Saul seeks to come to Keilah, to destroy the city for my sake.
9Blessed be the LORD your God, who delighted in you, to set you on the throne of Israel: because the LORD loved Israel forever, therefore he made you king, to do justice and righteousness.
16Since the day that I brought forth my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build a house, that my name might be there; but I chose David to be over my people Israel.
17For thus says the LORD: David shall never lack a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel;
31For as long as the son of Jesse lives on the ground, you shall not be established, nor your kingdom. Therefore now send and bring him to me, for he shall surely die.
10He shall build a house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.
2For the king said to Joab the captain of the army, who was with him, Go now through all the tribes of Israel, from Dan to Beersheba, and count the people, that I may know the number of the people.
5For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.
3And all the congregation made a covenant with the king in the house of God. And he said to them, Behold, the king's son shall reign, as the LORD has said of the sons of David.
1And David said, Is there still anyone left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan's sake?
16Now therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with your servant David my father what you have promised him, saying, There shall not fail you a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so that your children take heed to their way to walk in my law, as you have walked before me.
