4 Go and tell David my servant, Thus says the LORD, You shall not build me a house to live in:
5 For I have not lived in a house since the day I brought up Israel to this day; but have gone from tent to tent, and from one tabernacle to another.

37 And I will take you, and you shall reign according to all that your soul desires, and shall be king over Israel.
38 And it shall be, if you will listen to all that I command you, and will walk in my ways, and do what is right in my sight, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as David my servant did; that I will be with you, and build you a sure house, as I built for David, and will give Israel to you.
7 Nathan said to David, You are the man. Thus says the LORD God of Israel, I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you out of the hand of Saul.
7 Go, tell Jeroboam, Thus says the LORD God of Israel, Because I exalted you from among the people, and made you prince over my people Israel,
8 And tore the kingdom away from the house of David, and gave it to you: yet you have not been like my servant David, who kept my commandments, and who followed me with all his heart, to do only that which was right in my eyes;
23 And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.
24 And I the LORD will be their God, and my servant David a prince among them; I the LORD have spoken it.
15 And the LORD took me as I followed the flock, and the LORD said to me, Go, prophesy to my people Israel.
17 As for you, if you will walk before Me, as David your father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded you, and keep My statutes and My judgments;
18 Then I will establish the throne of your kingdom, as I have covenanted with David your father, saying, You shall not fail to have a man to be ruler in Israel.
4 However the LORD God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel forever: for he has chosen Judah to be the ruler; and of the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he was pleased to make me king over all Israel:
18 Then King David went in and sat before the LORD, and he said, Who am I, O Lord GOD? and what is my house, that you have brought me this far?
19 And this was yet a small thing in your sight, O Lord GOD; but you have spoken also of your servant's house for a great while to come. And is this the manner of man, O Lord GOD?
20 And what can David say more to you? for you, Lord GOD, know your servant.
4 And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, who has with his hands fulfilled what he spoke with his mouth to my father David, saying,
5 Since the day that I brought forth my people out of the land of Egypt, I chose no city among all the tribes of Israel to build a house in, that my name might be there; neither chose I any man to be a ruler over my people Israel:
6 But I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there; and have chosen David to be over my people Israel.
24 And my servant David shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.
25 Therefore now, LORD God of Israel, keep with your servant David my father what you promised him, saying, There shall not fail you a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel; if only your children take heed to their way, that they walk before me as you have walked before me.
26 And now, O God of Israel, let your word, I pray you, be verified, which you spoke to your servant David my father.
27 For you, O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, have revealed to your servant, saying, I will build you a house: therefore your servant has found in his heart to pray this prayer to you.
25 And now, O LORD God, the word that you have spoken concerning your servant and concerning his house, establish it forever, and do as you have said.
10 And since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel. Moreover, I will subdue all your enemies. Furthermore, I tell you that the LORD will build you a house.
18 Now then do it, for the LORD has spoken of David, saying, By the hand of my servant David I will save my people Israel out of the hand of the Philistines, and out of the hand of all their enemies.
20 And the LORD has performed his word that he spoke, and I have risen up in place of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built a house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
35 Then you shall come up after him, that he may come and sit upon my throne; for he shall be king in my place; and I have appointed him to be ruler over Israel and over Judah.
5 Then I will establish the throne of your kingdom upon Israel forever, as I promised to David your father, saying, There shall not fail you a man upon the throne of Israel.
16 Now therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with your servant David my father what you have promised him, saying, There shall not fail you a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so that your children take heed to their way to walk in my law, as you have walked before me.
34 David said to Saul, Your servant kept his father's sheep, and when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb from the flock,
10 To transfer the kingdom from the house of Saul, and to set up the throne of David over Israel and over Judah, from Dan even to Beersheba.
34 However, I will not take the whole kingdom out of his hand: but I will make him prince all the days of his life for David my servant's sake, whom I chose, because he kept my commandments and my statutes.
9 Now, O LORD God, let your promise to David my father be established: for you have made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.
7 Therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the LORD;
