15You who have kept with your servant David my father what you promised him; and spoke with your mouth, and have fulfilled it with your hand, as it is today.
16Now therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with your servant David my father what you have promised him, saying, There shall not fail you a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so that your children take heed to their way to walk in my law, as you have walked before me.
2And David said to Achish, Surely, you shall see what your servant can do. And Achish said to David, Therefore, I will make you keeper of my head forever.
13Therefore Saul removed him from himself, and made him his captain over a thousand; and he went out and came in before the people.
8Blessed be the LORD your God, who delighted in you to set you on His throne as king for the LORD your God! Because your God loved Israel to establish them forever, He made you king over them to execute justice and righteousness.
9And made him king over Gilead, and over the Ashurites, and over Jezreel, and over Ephraim, and over Benjamin, and over all Israel.
25Therefore now, LORD God of Israel, keep with your servant David my father what you promised him, saying, There shall not fail you a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel; if only your children take heed to their way, that they walk before me as you have walked before me.
8And tore the kingdom away from the house of David, and gave it to you: yet you have not been like my servant David, who kept my commandments, and who followed me with all his heart, to do only that which was right in my eyes;

19And you have this day rejected your God, who Himself saved you out of all your adversities and your tribulations; and you have said to Him, No, but set a king over us. Now therefore present yourselves before the LORD by your tribes, and by your thousands.
