But at last, Daniel came in before me, whose name was Belteshazzar, according to the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods, and before him I told the dream, saying,

9O Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you, and no secret troubles you, tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and its interpretation.

24Therefore Daniel went to Arioch, whom the king had appointed to destroy the wise men of Babylon: he went and said thus to him; Do not destroy the wise men of Babylon: bring me before the king, and I will show the king the interpretation.
25Then Arioch brought Daniel before the king in haste, and said thus to him, I have found a man of the captives of Judah, who will make known the interpretation to the king.
26The king answered and said to Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, Are you able to make known to me the dream which I have seen, and its interpretation?
27Daniel answered before the king and said, The secret which the king has demanded cannot be shown to the king by the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, or the soothsayers.
28But there is a God in heaven that reveals secrets, and makes known to King Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Your dream, and the visions of your head upon your bed, are these.
29As for you, O king, your thoughts came into your mind upon your bed, what should come to pass hereafter: and he who reveals secrets makes known to you what shall come to pass.
10Now the queen, because of the words of the king and his lords, came into the banquet hall. The queen spoke and said, "O king, live forever! Let not your thoughts trouble you, nor let your face be changed.
11There is a man in your kingdom, in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of your father, light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in him; whom the king Nebuchadnezzar your father, the king, I say, your father, made master of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers.
12Forasmuch as an excellent spirit, knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, solving of riddles, and dissolving of doubts were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar: now let Daniel be called, and he will show the interpretation.
13Then was Daniel brought in before the king. And the king spoke and said to Daniel, "Are you that Daniel, who is one of the captives of Judah, whom the king my father brought out of Judah?
14I have heard of you, that the spirit of the gods is in you, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom are found in you.
15And now the wise men, the astrologers, have been brought in before me, that they should read this writing and make known to me its interpretation, but they could not show the interpretation of the thing.
16Then Daniel went in and requested of the king that he would give him time, and that he would show the king the interpretation.
17Then Daniel went to his house and made the matter known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions.
18That they would seek mercies from the God of heaven concerning this secret, so that Daniel and his companions might not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.
19Then was the secret revealed to Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven.
1In the third year of the reign of King Belshazzar, a vision appeared to me, even to me Daniel, after the one that appeared to me at the first.

19And the king conversed with them, and among them all none was found like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah; therefore they served before the king.
20And in all matters of wisdom and understanding about which the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers who were in all his realm.

8Then all the king's wise men came in, but they could not read the writing, nor make known to the king the interpretation.
9But if you do not make known the dream to me, there is only one decree for you: for you have prepared lying and corrupt words to speak before me until the time changes. Therefore, tell me the dream, and I shall know you can reveal its interpretation.
24This is the interpretation, O king, and this is the decree of the Most High, which is come upon my lord the king:
47The king answered and said to Daniel, Truly, your God is the God of gods, and the Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing you could reveal this secret.
15And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then behold, there stood before me one having the appearance of a man.
17Then Daniel answered and said before the king, "Let your gifts be for yourself, and give your rewards to another; yet I will read the writing to the king, and make known to him the interpretation.
6Now among these were, of the children of Judah, Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah:
7To them the chief of the eunuchs gave names: he gave to Daniel the name Belteshazzar; to Hananiah, Shadrach; to Mishael, Meshach; and to Azariah, Abednego.
12Then he said to me, Fear not, Daniel; for from the first day that you set your heart to understand and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to your words.
28Nebuchadnezzar spoke, saying, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent His angel and delivered His servants who trusted in Him, and they have frustrated the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they should not serve nor worship any god except their own God.
