20And in all matters of wisdom and understanding about which the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers who were in all his realm.

5And the king appointed for them a daily portion of the king's delicacies and of the wine which he drank, so nourishing them three years, that at the end of that time they might serve before the king.

12Forasmuch as an excellent spirit, knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, solving of riddles, and dissolving of doubts were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar: now let Daniel be called, and he will show the interpretation.
13Then was Daniel brought in before the king. And the king spoke and said to Daniel, "Are you that Daniel, who is one of the captives of Judah, whom the king my father brought out of Judah?
1It pleased Darius to appoint over the kingdom one hundred and twenty princes, who should be over the whole kingdom;
2And over these, three presidents, of whom Daniel was first, so that the princes might give accounts to them, and the king should suffer no loss.
3Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king planned to set him over the whole realm.
4Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find no occasion or fault, because he was faithful, and no error or fault was found in him.
5Then these men said, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, unless we find it against him concerning the law of his God.

28So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.
13Then they answered and said before the king, That Daniel, who is of the children of the captivity of Judah, does not regard you, O king, nor the decree that you have signed, but makes his petition three times a day.

27Of the sons of Zattu: Elioenai, Eliashib, Mattaniah, Jeremoth, Zabad, and Aziza.
