5 He sent messengers therefore to Balaam the son of Beor to Pethor, which is by the river of the land of the children of his people, to call him, saying, Look, a people has come out of Egypt; see, they cover the face of the earth, and they dwell opposite me.
6 Come now therefore, I pray you, curse this people for me, for they are too mighty for me: perhaps I shall prevail, that we may strike them, and that I may drive them out of the land, for I know that he whom you bless is blessed, and he whom you curse is cursed.
7 And the elders of Moab and the elders of Midian departed with the rewards of divination in their hand, and they came to Balaam and spoke to him the words of Balak.

15 But it shall come to pass, if you will not listen unto the voice of the LORD your God, to observe to do all His commandments and His statutes which I command you this day; that all these curses shall come upon you, and overtake you:
26 Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;

28 And a curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside from the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which you have not known.
29 And it shall come to pass, when the LORD your God has brought you into the land which you go to possess, that you shall put the blessing upon Mount Gerizim, and the curse upon Mount Ebal.
8 The LORD shall command the blessing upon you in your storehouses, and in all that you set your hand unto; and He shall bless you in the land which the LORD your God gives you.
20 And God came to Balaam at night, and said to him, If the men come to call you, rise up, and go with them; but only the word which I shall say to you, that shall you do.
17 And there shall cling nothing of the cursed thing to your hand: that the LORD may turn from the fierceness of his anger, and show you mercy, and have compassion upon you, and multiply you, as he has sworn to your fathers;
35 And the angel of the LORD said to Balaam, Go with the men: but only the word that I shall speak to you, that you shall speak. So Balaam went with the princes of Balak.
20 Behold, I have received a commandment to bless, and he has blessed, and I cannot reverse it.
2 And all these blessings shall come upon you, and overtake you, if you shall listen to the voice of the LORD your God.
13 And he will love you, and bless you, and multiply you: he will also bless the fruit of your womb, and the fruit of your land, your grain, and your wine, and your oil, the increase of your cattle, and the flocks of your sheep, in the land which he swore to your fathers to give you.
