And he thought it scornful to lay hands on Mordecai alone, for they had shown him the people of Mordecai. Therefore, Haman sought to destroy all the Jews throughout the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus, even the people of Mordecai.

    10So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the king's anger subsided.
