    5 Then Esther called for Hatach, one of the king's chamberlains, whom he had appointed to attend to her, and ordered him to go to Mordecai to learn what this was and why it was.

    7 And Mordecai told him all that had happened to him, and of the sum of money that Haman had promised to pay into the king's treasuries for the Jews, to destroy them.

    8 Also he gave him a copy of the written decree that was given at Shushan to destroy them, to show it to Esther and explain it to her, and to charge her to go to the king, to plead with him and make a request before him for her people.

  • 12 Haman said moreover, Yes, Queen Esther did let no man come in with the king to the banquet that she had prepared, but myself; and tomorrow I am invited to her also with the king.
