4 And when the people heard these bad tidings, they mourned: and no man did put on his ornaments.
5 For the LORD had said to Moses, Say to the children of Israel, 'You are a stiff-necked people: I will come up into your midst in a moment and consume you: therefore now take off your ornaments from you, that I may know what to do with you.'
6 And the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by Mount Horeb.
10 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
11 Go in, speak to Pharaoh king of Egypt, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land.
24 And Gideon said to them, I would desire of you, that you would give me every man the earrings of his spoil. (For they had golden earrings, because they were Ishmaelites.)
25 And they answered, We will willingly give them. And they spread a garment, and each man threw the earrings of his spoil into it.
26 And the weight of the golden earrings that he requested was a thousand and seven hundred shekels of gold; besides ornaments, and pendants, and purple clothing that was on the kings of Midian, and besides the chains that were on their camels' necks.
24 And I said to them, 'Whoever has any gold, let them break it off.' So they gave it to me, and I threw it into the fire, and this calf came out."
31 Then he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, 'Rise up, and get out from among my people, both you and the children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD as you have said.
32 Also take your flocks and your herds, as you have said, and be gone; and bless me also.'

13 And Moses said to the LORD, Then the Egyptians will hear it, (for you brought up this people in your might from among them;)
5 And they spoke to Moses, saying, "The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work which the LORD commanded to be done."

1 Afterward, Moses and Aaron went in and told Pharaoh, This is what the Lord God of Israel says, Let my people go, so they may hold a feast to me in the wilderness.
