27And Abraham got up early in the morning and went to the place where he stood before the LORD.
28And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and he saw, and behold, the smoke of the land went up like the smoke of a furnace.
29And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the middle of the upheaval, when he overthrew the cities in which Lot dwelt.

12Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom.
13But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.
14And the LORD said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him, Lift up now your eyes, and look from the place where you are northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:
22And he finished talking with him, and God went up from Abraham.
16And while he lingered, the men grabbed his hand, his wife's hand, and the hands of his two daughters, the LORD being merciful to him, and they brought him out and set him outside the city.
17And it came to pass, when they had brought them out, that he said, Escape for your life; do not look behind you, nor stay anywhere in the plain; escape to the mountains, lest you be consumed.
18And Lot said to them, Oh, not so, my Lord.
4But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, surrounded the house, both young and old, all the people from every quarter.
3And Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying,
6And Lot went out to them at the door, and shut the door after him.

9And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one came here to stay, and he will act as a judge: now we will deal worse with you than with them. And they pressed hard against Lot, and came near to break the door.
5And Abraham said to his young men, Stay here with the donkey; and I and the boy will go over there and worship, and come again to you.
7And Abraham stood up, and bowed himself to the people of the land, to the children of Heth.
21And he said to him, See, I have accepted you in this matter also, that I will not overthrow this city for which you have spoken.
