And he said, Behold now, I have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord; suppose twenty should be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for the sake of twenty.

26 And the LORD said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.
27 And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord, who am but dust and ashes.
28 Suppose there should lack five of the fifty righteous; will you destroy all the city for lack of five? And he said, If I find forty-five there, I will not destroy it.
29 And he spoke to him yet again and said, Suppose there should be forty found there. And he said, I will not do it for the sake of forty.
30 And he said to him, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak; suppose thirty should be found there. And he said, I will not do it if I find thirty there.
32 And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak but this once; suppose ten should be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for the sake of ten.
33 And the LORD went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham, and Abraham returned to his place.
17 And it came to pass, when they had brought them out, that he said, Escape for your life; do not look behind you, nor stay anywhere in the plain; escape to the mountains, lest you be consumed.
18 And Lot said to them, Oh, not so, my Lord.
19 Behold now, your servant has found grace in your sight, and you have magnified your mercy, which you have shown to me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil overtake me and I die.
20 Look now, this city is near enough to flee to, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape there, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.
21 And he said to him, See, I have accepted you in this matter also, that I will not overthrow this city for which you have spoken.
22 Hurry, escape there; for I cannot do anything until you arrive there. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.
17 And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham what I am doing;
2 And he lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, three men stood by him; and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself to the ground,
3 And said, My Lord, if now I have found favor in your sight, do not pass away, I pray you, from your servant.
28 And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and he saw, and behold, the smoke of the land went up like the smoke of a furnace.
29 And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the middle of the upheaval, when he overthrew the cities in which Lot dwelt.
30 And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before Me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.
7 And said, I pray you, brothers, do not do so wickedly.
8 Behold now, I have two daughters who have not known a man; let me, I pray you, bring them to you, and do to them as seems good in your eyes: only do nothing to these men; for they have come under the shadow of my roof.
17 And he said unto him, If now I have found grace in your sight, then show me a sign that you talk with me.
13 For we will destroy this place, because the outcry against them has grown great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD has sent us to destroy it.
11 And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will kill me for my wife's sake.
12 And he said, "O LORD God of my master Abraham, I pray, give me success this day, and show kindness to my master Abraham.
25 So I fell down before the LORD forty days and forty nights, as I fell down at the first; because the LORD had said he would destroy you.
20 And say moreover, Behold, your servant Jacob is behind us. For he said, I will appease him with the present that goes before me, and afterward I will see his face; perhaps he will accept me.
9 Who can tell if God will turn and relent, and turn away from His fierce anger, so that we do not perish?

39 And I said to my master, 'Perhaps the woman will not follow me.'
14 So the LORD relented from the evil which He thought to do to His people.
8 If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turns from their evil, I will relent of the evil that I thought to do to them.
2 And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and spend the night, and wash your feet, and you shall rise early and go on your way. And they said, No; but we will stay in the street all night.
