The vestibule of the gate was toward the inside. 10 In the eastern gateway were three gate chambers on one side and three on the other; the three were of the same size, and the posts had the same size on this side and that. 11 He measured the width of the entrance to the gateway, ten cubits; and the length of the gate, thirteen cubits. 12 There was a barrier before the gate chambers, one cubit on this side and one cubit on that side; the chambers were six cubits on this side and six cubits on that side. 13 Then he measured the gateway from the roof of one gate chamber to the roof of the other, the width was twenty-five cubits as door faced door.

  • Ezek 42:4-9 : 4 And before the chambers there was a walk of ten cubits wide inward, a pathway of one cubit; and their doors faced north. 5 Now the upper chambers were shorter: because the galleries were higher than these, than the lower, and than the middle of the building. 6 For they were in three stories, but did not have pillars like the pillars of the courts: therefore the building was constrained more than the lowest and the middle from the ground. 7 And the wall that was outside opposite the chambers, toward the outer court on the front of the chambers, the length of it was fifty cubits. 8 For the length of the chambers that were in the outer court was fifty cubits: and behold, in front of the temple were one hundred cubits. 9 And from under these chambers was the entrance on the east side, as one goes into them from the outer court. 10 The chambers were in the thickness of the wall of the court toward the east, opposite the separate area, and opposite the building. 11 And the way before them was like the appearance of the chambers which were toward the north, as long as they, and as wide as they: and all their exits were both according to their fashions, and according to their doors. 12 And according to the doors of the chambers that were toward the south was a door at the head of the way, even the way directly before the wall toward the east, as one enters into them. 13 Then he said to me, The north chambers and the south chambers, which are before the separate area, are holy chambers, where the priests who approach to the LORD shall eat the most holy things: there shall they lay the most holy things, and the meat offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering; for the place is holy.
