Then the LORD said to me, Go again, love a woman loved by her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the LORD toward the children of Israel, who turn to other gods and love raisin cakes.

Then sayd the Lorde to me: Go yet and loue a woman beloued of her husbande, and yet an adultresse, according to the loue of the Lorde towarde the chyldren of Israel: and yet they haue respect to straunge gods, and loue the wine pottes.

7 And I said after she had done all these things, Turn to me. But she did not return. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it.
8 And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah did not fear, but went and played the harlot also.
9 And it came to pass through the frivolity of her whoredom, that she polluted the land and committed adultery with stones and with stocks.
10 And yet for all this, her treacherous sister Judah has not turned to me with her whole heart, but in pretension, says the LORD.
11 And the LORD said to me, Backsliding Israel has justified herself more than treacherous Judah.
20 Surely, as a wife treacherously departs from her husband, so have you dealt treacherously with me, O house of Israel, says the LORD.
7 And she shall pursue her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then she shall say, I will go and return to my first husband; for it was better with me then than now.
8 For she did not know that I gave her grain, and wine, and oil, and multiplied her silver and gold, which they prepared for Baal.
9 Therefore I will return, and take away my grain in its time, and my wine in its season, and will recover my wool and my flax given to cover her nakedness.
10 And now I will expose her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and none shall rescue her out of my hand.
1 Moreover, the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
2 Go and proclaim in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus says the LORD; I remember you, the kindness of your youth, the love of your engagements, when you went after me in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown.
2 The beginning of the word of the LORD through Hosea. And the LORD said to Hosea, Go, take for yourself a wife of harlotry and children of harlotry, for the land has committed great harlotry, departing from the LORD.
3 So he went and took Gomer, the daughter of Diblaim, who conceived and bore him a son.
15 What has my beloved to do in my house, seeing she has worked lewdness with many, and the holy flesh is passed from you? When you do evil, then you rejoice.
17 You have also taken your beautiful jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given you, and made for yourself images of men, and committed whoredom with them,
32 But as a wife that commits adultery, who takes strangers instead of her husband!
33 They give gifts to all harlots, but you give your gifts to all your lovers, and hire them, that they may come to you on every side for your whoredom.
35 Therefore, O harlot, hear the word of the LORD;
11 Judah has dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah has profaned the holiness of the LORD which he loved, and has married the daughter of a foreign god.
13 And I will punish her for the days of the Baals, when she burned incense to them, and she adorned herself with her earrings and her jewels, and she went after her lovers, and forgot me, says the LORD.
14 Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak tenderly to her.
15 And I will give her vineyards from there, and the Valley of Achor as a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came out of the land of Egypt.
43 Then said I to her who was old in adulteries, Will they now commit harlotries with her, and she with them?
5 And Aholah played the harlot while she was mine; and she lusted after her lovers, after the Assyrians her neighbors,
17 And the Babylonians came to her into the bed of love, and they defiled her with their harlotry, and she was polluted with them, and her mind was alienated from them.

15 Though you, Israel, play the harlot, do not let Judah offend; do not come to Gilgal, nor go up to Bethaven, nor swear, 'As the LORD lives.'
30 How weak is your heart, says the Lord GOD, seeing you do all these things, the work of an imperious, whorish woman;
2 Plead with your mother, plead: for she is not my wife, neither am I her husband: let her therefore put away her whoredoms out of her sight, and her adulteries from between her breasts;
3 Lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day she was born, and make her like a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and kill her with thirst.
14 Turn, O backsliding children, says the LORD; for I am married to you: and I will take you, one from a city, and two from a family, and I will bring you to Zion:
1 Do not rejoice, O Israel, like other peoples, for you have gone astray from your God; you have loved a reward upon every threshing floor.
18 Their drink is sour; they have committed harlotry continually; her rulers dearly love dishonor.
25 Withhold your foot from being unshod, and your throat from thirst: but you said, There is no hope: no; for I have loved foreign gods, and after them I will go.
20 For from of old I have broken your yoke, and burst your bonds; and you said, I will not transgress; when upon every high hill and under every green tree you wandered, playing the harlot.
7 How shall I pardon you for this? Your children have forsaken me, and sworn by them that are no gods: when I had fed them to the full, they then committed adultery, and assembled themselves by troops in the harlots' houses.
3 I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hidden from me: for now, O Ephraim, you commit whoredom, and Israel is defiled.
1 I have come into my garden, my sister, my spouse: I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk. Eat, O friends; drink, yes, drink abundantly, O beloved.

14 Yet you say, Why? Because the LORD has been witness between you and the wife of your youth, against whom you have dealt treacherously; yet she is your companion and the wife of your covenant.
4 Because of the multitude of the harlotries of the well-favored harlot, the mistress of sorceries, who sells nations through her harlotries, and families through her sorceries.
28 You have played the harlot also with the Assyrians, because you were insatiable; yes, you have played the harlot with them, and yet could not be satisfied.
