But if the princes hear that I have talked with you, and they come to you, and say to you, Declare to us now what you have said to the king, hide it not from us, and we will not put you to death; also what the king said to you:

24Then Zedekiah said to Jeremiah, Let no man know of these words, and you shall not die.

20But Jeremiah said, They shall not deliver you. Obey, I beg you, the voice of the LORD, which I speak to you: so it shall be well with you, and your soul shall live.
21But if you refuse to go forth, this is the word that the LORD has shown me:
26Then you shall say to them, I presented my supplication before the king, that he would not cause me to return to Jonathan's house, to die there.
27Then all the princes came to Jeremiah and asked him; and he told them according to all these words that the king had commanded. So they stopped speaking with him; for the matter was not perceived.
19Then the princes said to Baruch, Go, hide yourself, you and Jeremiah; and let no man know where you are.

5Then Zedekiah the king said, Behold, he is in your hand; for the king is not anyone who can do anything against you.
3Then Jeremiah said to them, Thus shall you say to Zedekiah:
7So the priests and the prophets and all the people heard Jeremiah speaking these words in the house of the LORD.
8Now it happened, when Jeremiah had finished speaking all that the LORD had commanded him to speak to all the people, that the priests and the prophets and all the people seized him, saying, You shall surely die.

8Ebedmelech went out of the king's house and spoke to the king, saying,
9My lord the king, these men have done evil in all that they have done to Jeremiah the prophet, whom they have cast into the dungeon; and he is likely to die from hunger in the place where he is, for there is no more bread in the city.
10Then the king commanded Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, saying, Take from here thirty men with you, and lift Jeremiah the prophet out of the dungeon before he dies.
11Then the priests and the prophets spoke to the princes and to all the people, saying, This man is worthy to die; for he has prophesied against this city, as you have heard with your own ears.
12Then Jeremiah spoke to all the princes and to all the people, saying, The LORD sent me to prophesy against this house and against this city all the words that you have heard.

26But the king commanded Jerahmeel the son of Hammelech, and Seraiah the son of Azriel, and Shelemiah the son of Abdeel, to take Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet, but the LORD hid them.
14Then Jeremiah said, 'It is false; I am not falling away to the Chaldeans.' But he did not listen to him; so Irijah took Jeremiah and brought him to the princes.
15Therefore the princes were angry with Jeremiah, and struck him, and put him in prison in the house of Jonathan the scribe, for they had made that the prison.
3And Zedekiah the king sent Jehucal, the son of Shelemiah, and Zephaniah, the son of Maaseiah, the priest, to the prophet Jeremiah, saying, 'Pray now to the LORD our God for us.'
4Now Jeremiah came in and went out among the people, for they had not put him into prison.
24Nevertheless, the hand of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, was with Jeremiah, so they should not give him into the hand of the people to put him to death.
3For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, Why do you prophesy, and say, Thus says the LORD, Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it;
1The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, when King Zedekiah sent to him Pashur the son of Melchiah, and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest, saying,
16Then the princes and all the people said to the priests and to the prophets, This man is not worthy to die, for he has spoken to us in the name of the LORD our God.
12Take him and look well to him and do him no harm; but do to him even as he says to you.
18Then said they, Come, and let us devise plans against Jeremiah; for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let us attack him with the tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words.
15Then Johanan the son of Kareah spoke to Gedaliah in Mizpah secretly, saying, Let me go, I pray you, and I will kill Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and no man shall know it: why should he kill you, that all the Jews who are gathered to you should be scattered, and the remnant in Judah perish?
16Now it happened, when they had heard all the words, they were afraid each one to the other, and said to Baruch, We will surely tell the king all these words.
12I spoke also to Zedekiah, king of Judah, according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.
